Karachi: In the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, Hyderabad Kingsmen defeated Rawalpindi by 5 wickets to secure their third consecutive victory in the event.
In the match played in Karachi, Hyderabad Kingsmen won the toss and invited Rawalpindi to bat first.
The Rawalpindi team scored 121 runs for 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Sam Billings and Yasir Khan were outstanding with 26 and 24 runs.
Mohammad Ali and Haneen Shah took 3 wickets each for Hyderabad Kingsmen.
In reply, Hyderabad Kingsmen easily achieved the target of 122 runs for 5 wickets in the 17th over.
Irfan Khan Niazi remained unbeaten on 34 runs. Captain Marnus Labuschagne and Kushal Perera scored 32 runs each.
Thus, Hyderabad Kingsmen secured their third victory in the event and entered the top four with 6 points.
On the other hand, Rawalpindi suffered their sixth consecutive defeat in the event. They have not been able to win a single match so far.
