IPL: Abhishek Sharma fined heavily for violating code of conduct

Indian Premier League team Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Abhishek Sharma has been in trouble for violating the code of conduct during an IPL match.

According to Indian media reports, Abhishek Sharma has been fined and given a demerit point for violating the code of conduct during the match played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens.

According to reports, Abhishek Sharma expressed his displeasure in his reaction after being dismissed, for which he was fined 25 percent of his match fee and given one demerit point.

The incident occurred when Varun Chakravarthy caught Abhishek off Blessing Mazar-e-Abani, on which Abhishek stopped at the crease for some time, expressed his feelings and returned to the pavilion while making gestures.

The cricketer's dismissal was confirmed after an on-field review, but he did not seem satisfied with the decision.

A statement issued by the IPL said that Abhishek admitted to a Level 1 offence under Article 2.3 and accepted the match referee's decision.
